Library Opening
The eagerly awaited day finally arrived as Newnham St Peter’s School proudly unveiled the new library, creating a buzz of excitement amongst everyone. With its vibrant decor and inviting nooks filled with books, the library now stands as a hub of knowledge and adventure. The opening ceremony of the new library was a resounding success, marked by a sense of joy and unity within the school community. Our librarians welcomed everyone with beaming smiles, shared their love of reading and expressed their eagerness to expand their horizons in the new library. Our guests and visitors enjoyed the tea and cakes and had great chats with Year 6 children. The keynote address was delivered by Andy Seed, an admired local author. Andy Seed emphasised the significance of reading and the pivotal role a library plays in a child’s education and personal development. The ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opened the door to our library. A special thank you to Emily Hughes, Abigail Humphreys and the whole PTFA, who played a pivotal role in making the library a possibility.
