Earth Hour
Earth Hour is a simple yet powerful initiative that invites us to switch off non-essential lights for one hour. By doing so, we not only reduce our carbon footprint but also send a collective message that small actions, when multiplied, can bring about significant change. As a school, we went out during this hour and planted bulbs of spring flowers. It was wonderful seeing children working together, supporting one another and being very enthusiastic about the project. Our Head Boy and Head Girl checked that everything was switched off around the school. Sadly, one of the machines that wasn’t turned off was the computer in the headteacher's office. Whoops! Thank you to our children and lots of our families that joined us in this symbolic gesture of unity to preserve our beautiful planet. We cannot wait to see the flowers in the spring.
